Jeff DeslauriersSounD Design for Visual Media

A graduate of The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, Jeff DesLauriers acts as an instructor and program chair for IPR’s Sound Design for Visual Media program. He is an Avid-Certified Expert-Level Pro Tools Instructor, and has specializations in sound design, sound supervision, audio post production, field and location audio recording, live sound reinforcement, and music recording and production. In addition to being Pro Tools Expert certified, Jeff holds manufacturer certifications from Waves Plug-Ins, T.C. Electronics, and SIA Smart Audio Software.

Jeff’s experience includes working up from assistant engineer to chief engineer at Makoché Recording Company in Bismarck, ND, where he worked on two Grammy-nominated albums. He has done sound design, sound editing, and mixing for major motion pictures including Memorial Day, Falling Star, and Americons.

Jeff also has skills in audio restoration and forensic audio. When he’s not teaching, Jeff freelances in the metro area and nationally.
