Last night 13 IPR students and their band mates took the stage at Trocaderos, a major music venue in the Twin cities, and gave an eager crowd of fellow students, staff, faculty, and friends 6 amazing performances. Along with the main stage performances there was also DJ Morplay and DJ SMYRX holdin it down from the upper level spinning lots of old and new school music to keep everyone moving in between performances. There was also a handful of students from Matthias Saunders’ Digital Cinema class conducting artist interviews with the performers before they took the stage as well as hanging out behind cameras capturing each of the performances in HD on at least 4 different cameras throughout the crowd. If you were at the show then you definitely couldn’t miss all of the commotion that was constantly surrounding one side of the main floor and that’s because IPR staff members like Keysha Williams, Champ Harmon, Tina Halfman, Jason Messerschmitt, Mary Ann O’Dougherty, Rebecca Buller and several other staff & faculty members, were there showing their support for all of the performers. In all about 250 people came out to the show and surely not a single person left feeling anything but excitement and appreciation for such amazing performances. Congratulations to all of last night’s performers! Luther Eskridge, Erin Stubbs, Byron Thomas, Warvelution (Daylan Belland and Tabian Trueblood), Sans Grit (Rob Rogers), Antman Featuring Hugs and Kisses Hip Hop (Anthony Hershberger, Brian Svoboda, Dave Hedding, Matt Ventura, and Matt Stanzel), DJ Morplay (Marquay Belcher), and DJ SMYRX (Harrison Schmidt).
