America’s Best Blogging Scholarship

The America’s Best Blogging Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students and incoming freshmen. To be considered, you must write a 500 – 600 word blog post that addresses the following topic: Define the single most important political issue of the approaching presidential election. Explain not only what that issue is, but also why and how you propose we come to a solution that benefits the majority. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must enter the embed code provided either at the beginning or end of your entry post. Entries will be judged on content and social validation. A minimum 2.5 GPA is also required.

Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarship

The Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarship is available to kindergarten through graduate students. You must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to your community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the U.S. Your work must have been within the last 12 months and volunteering services must help non – family members. Applicants must obtain a Community Service Recommendation (CSR) as part of the application process. The CSR must be completed by a third party; this person must be at least 21 years old and may not be a parent, guardian, or family member. The Disability Scholarship is available to full-time high school seniors who are currently applying for college. You must be at least 17 years of age and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to qualify for this award. An essay of at least 500 words but not more than 1000 words that details a person or story of how they or someone they know has overcome disability to do great things must also be submitted. The Scholarship is available to currently enrolled undergraduate students. To be considered, you must submit an 800 – 2000 – word essay on the following topic: “You’ve acquired $150,000 in cash to be used specifically for a distressed real estate purchase. Outline a detailed strategy that ensures the maximum return on investment, whether it’s in terms of financial profit or personal satisfaction, or both.” The best five plans will be sent to the U.S. Department of Education.
