Free cupcakes in the Learning Center Wednesday!
Congratulations to the IPR students Ross Auger and Caleb Hollenback for winning publication in the 2011 edition of the Creative Quill! The Creative Quill is an annual publication of the best student writing throughout the entire Globe Education Network – Ross’s and Caleb’s work competed with hundreds of other entries from all over Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, and Idaho, and IPR is incredibly proud to have them as representatives. Ross’s short story, “Harbor,” and Caleb’s poems, “My Downfall” and “The Truth” are all well-written, creative, and absorbing reads.
To celebrate their achievements, the Learning Center will be hosting a party on Wednesday, Sept. 28th, all day. Stop in anytime for FREE Oktoberfest edibles and refreshments! Copies of the Creative Quill will also be available to check out Ross’s and Caleb’s work.
And while you’re stopping by for FREE carbs and sugar, keep in mind that finals week is right around the corner! This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for all students to come in for help with reading, writing, and arithmetic. Whether you’re stressing about your beast of a math final, wrestling with writer’s block in the middle of your final paper, or just want to ask a few questions and hang out, don’t miss out the chance to prepare yourselves for the home stretch!
