2010 Creative Quill Fiction Winner Announced!

First place award in Short Fiction goes to IPR’s own Adam Labat for his story “June: 1969.” Adam’s creative piece was selected from all the submissions from across the Globe Education Network Campuses. Congratulations, Adam, on this honor; the prize check is in the mail. (Really.)

Also published from IPR are the talented James Geary, Tyson Taylor, and Tyler Matlock.

Interested in answering the call to write? Submissions are now being accepted for the 2011 quill. Check out the details on Moodle and/or pick up materials from Student Services and/or talk to Marcia Hines… or James, Tyson, and Tyler.

Submission categories:

  • Short fiction/Plays/Scripts
  • Poetry/Song Lyrics
  • Creative Nonfiction (Creative Essay)


  • Maximum of 10 pages per creative work. Longer page count will be considered for plays.
  • Maximum of 3 total entries per student.

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on December 15, 2010.
