IPR and North Minneapolis Tornado Relief

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 – People need help in the North Minneapolis neighborhoods that were shredded by Sunday’s tornados, so we decided to play a small part in the relief effort.

A handful of us were able to break away from our IPR responsibilities yesterday to go serve those in need. Many more wanted to help but were already committed to their daily responsibilities.

Anyone who has a desire can still get involved in volunteering. I’ve been hearing many incredible stories of generosity, and I’m seeing people unite in some pretty awesome ways. If you can donate time or resources to this effort, please get involved. If you are a student, this may be more of a challenge for you, so only participate if you can.

As part of the continued effort across the entire city, IPR is currently doing a diaper drive. If you can donate, please stop by my desk, located in the office across from financial aid. Please do what you can to spread the word, we just want to help.
