Instructor, Art History, Visual Art, Global Citizenship
Aneesa Adams grew up in the Minneapolis arts scene as the daughter of an active visual artist. She is a classically-trained artist and has been teaching since 2003. She has exhibited her work throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin and currently exhibits her work in and around Minneapolis. While her focus is on oil painting and drawing, she has also created album art for local musicians and props for local theatrical productions.
A desire to integrate emerging technology into education led her to pursue her Masters in Media Design and Technology. Along with a passion for real-world, project-based learning, she enjoys using technology to hone 21st century skills and bring the broader world into the classroom.
In addition to making art, she enjoys traveling, volunteering in her community, advocating for social justice, music, and the great outdoors.
