Career Services

Pursue your passion. Turn Creativity into a Career. Find the support you need to succeed.

Is there anything better than getting paid to do what you love? At IPR, that is our goal — to help you turn your passion into a profession. Our career services team is here to help make that happen, both while you are a student and after you graduate.

Support from the start

Although we cannot guarantee employment, you will find support from the moment you enroll. Together our instructors have more than 150 Gold, Platinum and Grammy-award winning records. It is safe to say, they know what it takes to succeed in the creative arts industry, and they are here to share that knowledge with you. But we also know those skills are only good if you use them. That is where our career services team comes in.

Whether you are looking to become part of an existing company or branch off on your own, they can help with:

  • Networking opportunities
  • Cover letters
  • Resume writing
  • References
  • Interviewing skills
  • Job search tools
  • Internships

Ongoing assistance

That help doesn’t end once you graduate. Our career services team is here to provide ongoing career assistance whenever you need it. Our office will continue to provide personalized service and keep alumni informed of opportunities within the industry.

Internships

Our staff is not only experienced in the creative arts industry, they’re connected. And that network continues to grow as they constantly build new relationships with industry-related businesses. Those relationships benefit our students in the form of jobs and internships.

Internships may be available to students nearing the end of their program who meet certain qualifications and employer standards. Most internships are unpaid, but offer invaluable real-world experience and networking opportunities in the industry. Some internships may qualify for credit. Contact the director of career services, dean of education or your program chair for details.
