The Office of Student Services

Welcome to IPR’s Office of Student  Services!

IPR’s Office of Student Services provides support to students throughout their academic career. From orientation to graduation and all times between, the Student Services team creates forums for students to come together to build new friendships, refine their talents and explore their interests. These forums include special academic seminars, student music showcases, live music events, holiday parties, open jams, Producer Reviews, IPR’s bi-annual graduation ceremony, and many other community-building weekly and quarterly activities. Student Services also coordinates campus clubs and organizations including the Student Advisory Board and Women in Music. The Student Advisory Board is made up of elected student leaders who represent the student body. The SAB addresses campus needs and student concerns through positive and productive communication with staff and faculty, while assisting in organizing and promoting additional learning opportunities that complement the IPR experience. Student Services also maintains the campus GreenRoom Café. The café offers breakfast and lunch menu items to students and staff throughout the day and caters many of the student events. Lastly, Student Services offers assistance with many of the day-to-day issues of student life, including public transportation, housing, parking, health care, online resources, banking options, the Twin Cities music scene and much more.

Housing

While IPR does not maintain dormitory facilities, the Student Services staff is available to help students find convenient and affordable housing while at IPR. Student Services Coordinators meet with current and incoming students and their families to discuss a variety of housing options. Students are often referred to Student Housing Communities, which are privately owned and located within a few miles of our campus. Students from several Twin Cities colleges and universities live together in fully furnished 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments that offer a host of luxury amenities while still maintaining individual leases. The Student Services staff also maintains established relationships with many different apartment communities that are located in the Minneapolis area near campus. Every effort is made to ensure that the housing needs of each individual student are satisfied.
