CAUTION! SLOW AHEAD….
Due to the newly instituted loan regulations issued by the Federal Government, if you apply for an alternative loan (DEAL, SELF, SallieMae) please be aware that the approval process has changed. Note that it may take up to two weeks to approve your loans! This new process could delay your scheduling of future classes. Here are a few key points to help you in the process:
- 1. Make sure you provide your CURRENT ADDRESS on your loan applications. Lenders will be mailing you directly with time-sensitive documents required to complete the loan process.
- 2. Keep in mind the deadlines that the Financial Aid Office gives you. You are still responsible for completing your loans in a timely fashion.
- 3. Stay in contact with the lender(s) on all necessary steps to avoid a delay in funds.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office (Mon – Fri: 8 am – 6 pm) with any questions!
