BFA in Digital Video & Media Production

Our Minnesota bachelor’s program in digital video and media production provides technical and artistic training from instructors with experience in the field, giving you the fundamentals of video and digital film creation – from pre-production to post-production.

Digital video production training includes:

If you’ve completed your associate degree and are interested in furthering your education, IPR’s bachelor’s degree in video production offers you the ability to:

  • Effectively light, white balance, shoot and edit a professional video production;
  • Operate a variety of HD, DSLR and digital cameras and peripheral equipment;
  • Create professional-quality motion graphics;
  • Produce a demo reel and self-promotional package that showcases workplace readiness;

Digital Video and Media Production Programs

As a digital video and media production student, you’ll have access to professional studios and the opportunity to partner with students in other programs such as live sound and show production, and graphic and web design.

Based on competency exam scores, students may be required to take one or more of the following preparatory classes: FM051 Foundations of Math I, FM052 Foundations of Math II, FW051 Foundations of Writing I, and/or FW052 Foundations of Writing II.

BFA students are required to complete 30 percent of the program at the 300/400 level.
