The certificate in audio production and engineering is designed to teach students the skills to be able to compete in the world of commercial music production. In today’s world, you can record sound anywhere, but using the right tools is just the beginning. Students will learn the fundamentals of audio signal flow both in the analog and digital domains as well as music theory and basic music structure.

After mastering core concepts, students learn artistic and technical skills such as advanced microphone techniques, mixing and mastering, advanced digital editing, and song composition and arrangement. During the course of the program, students compile a digital portfolio of their work which serves as a demo reel for potential clients and employers.

Certificate in Live Sound & Show Production

The certificate in live sound and show production can help prepare students to perform supportive roles in live show production. Students will gain an understanding of signal flow, basic electronics, audio, lighting and video production devices. Throughout the program, students are involved in hands-on learning and real-world shows so they can put their knowledge to the test.

Gradates of the certificate program will be prepared for entry-level lighting and/or audio jobs in a number of venues that include night clubs, theaters, corporate entities, and production companies – just to name a few places.
