Inside Tracks

Inside Tracks is a recurring interview and performance event that focuses on growing your career in media arts. Students are introduced to successful professionals who have forged their own paths and adapted to the ever-changing media landscape.  In addition to chatting about their careers, philosophies and art, guests also give advice to budding artists, business professionals, producers and engineers. The guest artists often perform, either solo or with their full band, and students run the sound and lights for each performance.

Some highlights have included legendary British music manager/producer Peter Asher, local indie rock band Communist Daughter, Minneapolis Star Tribune music critic Chris Reimenschneider and First Avenue talent buyer Sonia Grover. There is no better way to learn about the music business than to hear it from the people who are actually in it at the highest level.
