Studios
IPR's studio facilities provide our students with the most up-to-date technologies applicable to the recording and production industry. Our advanced facilities are equipped to teach our students on the most modern technologies, as well as the most commonly used “vintage” technology including SSL consoles, Digidesign Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro, 24-track analog and a bevy of outboard processing both old and new. (REQUEST MORE INFORMATION)
IPR's premier studio facility speaks for itself - host to an impressive roster of nationally and internationally known recording artists, centered on the industry-standard SSL console, Pro Tools|HD3 Accel and Studer A827 2” 24-track analog.
IPR's second largest studio facility and home of Digidesign's “flagship” 48-channel ICON (that's Integrated CONsole) D-Control. The adaptabilty of this system allows it to be the home for IPR's advanced music, film scoring, sound design and post production curriculum.
A modern music and post-production facility based on a 24-channel Digidesign ICON D-Command (the “baby brother” of the D-Control featured elsewhere in IPR's facilities), AVID video hardware, and a Tannoy 5.1 monitoring solution.
“New school” digital technology in an “old school” analog environment. Featuring an SSL 4040G+ analog console, Digidesign Pro Tools|HD3 Accel, Studer A827 2” 24-track and an acoustically designed control room and performance area, Studio 2 is one of our students' favorite tracking and mixing rooms – and for good reason!
Putting the power of a “scaled down” (32-channel) version of the same ICON D-Control integrated console/workstation environment as featured in Studio 8, with the same Mackie HR626 based 5.1 monitoring solution, into students' hands during the early stages of their education.
Compatible in almost every way with Studio 3, students cut their teeth on the industry's leading music production tools.
Start with a Yamaha Digital Console and a Pro Tools HD3|Accel workstation and incorporate an AKAI MPC4000, a pair of Technics SL-1200 M3D, Korg Triton LE and Yamaha MO6 synthesizer/workstation keyboards along with a variety of software synths and samplers and you've got the dream studio for producers of hip-hop, R&B, techno, house and other flavors of electronic and urban music.
With the same Mackie 24|8 Console installed in thousands of studios and live concert venues alike, IPR's Program Director Brian Jacoby can be quoted as stating that “while it may not look like much, this is the most exciting educational tool we have to offer.” Signal flow and studio technology from the inside out, from wiring up the studio from scratch to running a full multi-track recording session.
With the classic Trident 80B Limited Edition 56-input recording desk and finishing with the ability to interface either analog multitrack or the same Digidesign Pro Tools HD|3 Accel system as many of our other studios, experience the best of both old and new - warmth and musicality of analog equipment with the power and flexibility of modern digital technology.
