Minneapolis, St. Paul declare Snow Emergency: Wednesday December 9th

Minneapolis & St. Paul declared a Snow Emergency today. For St. Paul parking rules, skip to below.

If you own a vehicle and park on the street in Minneapolis please read the following information:

There will be rules for street parking this evening, Thursday and Friday. It is essential that you follow these rules to avoid getting your vehicle towed to the city’s impound lot! For those who don’t know, getting towed will cost you approximately $200 to get your car back so please use prudence when parking the next few days!

In summary, tonight from 9pm – 8am tomorrow morning, all streets designated Snow Emergency Routes will be cleared of snow. Do not park on these streets tonight. Park on non-Snow Emergency streets.

Tomorrow (Thursday) from 8am – 8pm, park on the odd side of non-Snow Emergency Route streets or on Snow Emergency Route streets (which will now be plowed). Do not park on the even side of non-Snow Emergency Route streets tomorrow.

Friday from 8am – 8pm, park on the even side of non-Snow Emergency Route streets or on Snow Emergency Route streets. Do not park on the odd side of non-Snow Emergency Route streets on Friday.

Streets indicated by “Night Plow Route” signs will be plowed tonight starting at 9pm. Do not park on Night Plow Routes tonight.

Day Plow routes are not indicated by signs and will be plowed tomorrow starting at 8am. Do not park on Day Plow Routes tomorrow.
