There’s no shortage of opportunities for Irish pride (whether you’re Irish or not) when it comes to Music tonight in Minneapolis. Here’s just a few:
First Avenue – City Pages and MN Beer Activists’ St. Patrick’s Day Rally for Sunday Sales ft. Romantica, White Iron Band, and Silverback Colony
Turf Club – St. Patrick’s Day Celebration ft. The Belfast Cowboys
Kieran’s Irish Pub – 20th Aniversary ft. Alicia Corbett, Sweet Colleens and Broken Spoke
Twenty years ago Kieran’s Irish Pub opened for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. Their yearly celebration has become a seminal favorite. The Music starts early at Kieran’s today, at 11am, but runs until 1am featuring Alicia Corbett, Sweet Colleens and Broken Spoke.
Triple Rock Social Club – Brian Boru Pipe Band

As usual, Metro Transit will be providing it’s free ride service all from 6pm until the last scheduled fare. From the MTC website:
On Monday, March 17, customers can ride free from 6 p.m. through the last scheduled trip on all Metro Transit routes. The free-ride offer also is available on routes operated by the Metropolitan Council, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, SouthWest Transit and Anoka County Traveler.
Whether you’ll be out celebrating or you’re not interested in driving alongside those who are, riding Metro Transit is an easy, safe alternative. Miller Free Rides is a community service program in partnership with Metro Transit, J.J. Taylor Distributing Company and Miller Lite.
