Ever wonder how successful people in the music and entertainment business got so big? Why some careers take off, and others don’t?
Wonder no more — come hear the answers straight from the professionals themselves.
Every quarter, IPR offers Inside Tracks, a free lecture and performance series for students about making it in the media arts industry. The event brings in big name guests who discuss exactly how they carved out their own paths to success. They also answer questions, offer advice and from time to time, play a song or two.
This quarter’s lineup includes:
Oct. 28: Jordis Unga
Jordis was a finalist on both Rock Star INXS and The Voice and has spent the past 10 years working in Los Angeles. A strong and soulful singer, she has a great story to tell.
Nov. 4: Chad Erickson
Chad Erickson and the Untimely are taking hard rock in new direction. Come listen to the rage!
Nov. 18: Jon Bream
Jon is the long-time lead music critic for the Star Tribune newspaper; if something happens in the Twin Cities music scene, he knows about it. Everyone needs to hear what he has to say!
Nov. 25: A to-be-determined freaking awesome event!
For our last Inside Tracks production of the year, the students in the Event Production class are taking over! Come check out the guest they book, the interview questions they write, and the undoubtedly awesome party they’ll be hosting!
All Inside Tracks sessions are held in Robinson Hall from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. and this quarter, they all include free pizza!
