History
The Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) was founded in 2002 by a powerhouse of individuals with experience in music production, recording, engineering and various aspects of entertainment business. They shared a passion for “the art” in all its forms and a desire to lead the industry’s next generation of talented professionals.
Globe Education Network
IPR works collaboratively with other career colleges and learning centers as members of the Globe Education Network (GEN). This organization provides educational and administrative support at member institutions, including
Through consortium agreements approved by member schools' accrediting bodies, credits earned for classes taken at schools within the Network apply directly to degree programs at member schools. Degrees are granted by the individual colleges.
Accreditation (Since 2005)
Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
ACCSC has recognized The Institute of Production and Recording as a 2011 ACCSC School of Distinction
